    Yeah saw this as well.... probably a good thing.. too many kids pick up their phone to read messages while driving, last thing we need is an accident over a stupid solicitation.

    Someone should take FCC to court. Do they even have the authority to ban advertising?

    It's funny, until today, I've never had a SMS ad. Just got 1, 1/2 hour ago.

    Outlawed? No. More regulated? Yes.

    This just means that you would need them to submit "text me" on a web form along with their phone number and that would qualify as "written consent" in my book. All it does is add an extra step during the "opt in" process.
