Anyone have any experience with Ongage and how their system works, so that you can send mail trough ESP's?

Basically you can load your data into their platform and link the ESP accounts that you have, aweber, getresponse, icontact, etc, etc... and then their platform will send trough those ESP's without your data ever being put into them. Additionally you can route data by domain to go out through specific ESP account.

    i've never used ongage.
i didn't understand your statement "without your data ever being put into them".
the data would need to be imported to the esp unless the esp does smtp auth or has an api..

Aside from splitting up delivery across esps to minimize risk.. what else does ongage do?

As long as the ESP supported smtp auth you could use powermta queues to split up the delivery and reroute based on responses...
If the ESP has an API like SES (you can send mail via http api), powermta can pipe mail in a queue to a program at delivery time..

You can simply buy mailerking and rotate through the smtp accounts of all your ESP services...
