ummm... suprisinly enough, you n00bs don't really understand that these tpyes of creatives probably work better with your ISPs than imaged. I.E, the images would be blocked so why even bother sending them?

Lulz. I seemed to have missed the part where anyone said anything about mailing images... but that being said some of the biggest TLD mailers I know do mail images. What is the right creative depends on the strategy being employed.
When full html creatives aren't needed, I write text/ html lite creatives all of the time and they would blow these out of the water. Those creatives look like they are from 1989.
