brand from name

Hey,

I want to use a female name as from name (already get approved by network)

The problem is the female name is not a real person, it was made up by me.

Is it legal?

 

You can make ANY name legal to use in copy and advertising. Just go to your bank and open a fictitious name DBA account under the name. Done.

Example: YourCompany, Inc. DBA Jessica Bigtits

Hopefully you have a corp or LLC already to do this under.

Not sure if you want to do this for a simple email from name, but it would make it legal anyway. I've known people who have done this for website copy writing... like they had a website assumed written by a female and they used a female name, so did the above.

I thought I could say this fictitious female name is my list name, is it ok?

The bank is not where you register a DBA. It's done with the secretary of state (or equivalent) / Corporations depts...

It seems there's no DBA concept in Canada....

So i'd better use "front name" offered by networks

 

Buy an LLC from one of the many places online and they can help setup dbas under it. I can PM you a place I've used before to register some LLCs. I haven't had them register DBAs under them, but you can ask them if you want to call them.
