I was just curious when someone buys data. what are the typical cost of the list or is that based on the seller?

trying to get an idea for cost on
    500 emails
    1000 emails
    100000 emails

Also does it cost more to get say just all google addresses?

Not in need of list at the moment just trying to build an idea incase I ever do.

From my personal experience everyone charges differently, but the same general principal of the more you buy at once the less each record costs you.

Careful who you work with though try to only go through a reputable source,
Stay away from the guys listed here: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2013/05/databroker.shtm

    No problem,

Honestly look around here and ask around to the various data brokers for quotes beyond that no one is just gonna give up their data broker to someone completely new to the forum.

    data rates vary a ton.

normally data sold for a few hundred for 1mm, is crap data (at least for mailing 'whitehat' & compliantly..). Likely resold many times, and thats why its so cheap.

Legit, "fresh" and even real time feeds are more expensive (comparatively). For example, between $.01-$.05/email ($10,000-$50,000 per million) --depending on the info, and whether or not you need phone number for call center. For some niches though, it can get MUCH higher.

Ideally, if you have the setup, the more expensive data is the way to go... I've seen stats for someone mailing millions, and it pales in comparison to someone sending out 5,000 to "good" data.

At that price I'd rather build my list than buy records.

Let's try data that is fully compliant, 100% opt-in, with email addresses validated starting at $1000-$5000 per 1 million. This means you only pay from 1/10 of 1 penny to 1/2 of 1 penny per record ($0.001-$0.005)- the price depends upon the age of the data. Up to 40 million records available for this particular vertical which I prefer to mention privately. Message me on Skype at chart34 for more details.

there is next to ZERO useful info in this thread for the OP or - ANY - noob wanting to buy data. Permy at least had the right idea in his post....but these other 2 clowns are delusional. 50k for 1MM? Hit me up brah - I got data for you. And the next 1 post wonder data slinger - "depending on age??" move along - nothing in this forum for you.

Sif - when you're ready for data PM me.

Whoa. I didn't realize this was that kind of forum. Being called a clown on my first post. I thought the OP was looking for bulk data so I posted a general quote for what I have available. The vertical is within the payday loan space- if you search elsewhere online you'll see that my pricing estimate is well within the range of current prices for that kind of volume. Please contact me on Skype at chart34 if you'd like more details on what I mean. If not, thank you for your feedback and for enlightening me on what to expect here.

Average price of data from a reputable broker is about $1,000 per 1MM records (full into). If your mailing GI then plan on $500 to clean it through IW. If your mailing TLD it might be wise to run it through Bridge which cost $1,000 (unless you clean 5MM+ then it cost $500 per 1MM)

The thing with buying data is there is never any consistency to it........one day you might pay 3k for what you think is gold and it turns out to be garbage......then turn around and pay $400 for something and have it be gold........There are no standards and buying data can be a dirty game. The best advice I can give is MAKE SOME FRIENDS in this business......I can't stress enough how important that is. Friends will be able to tell you where to get data, who to avoid and probably even hook you up with data if they like you - that's what i did and it worked pretty well for me :elefant:
