The following is a list of new features that have been implemented on the forum based on feedback from our users and our staff.

1)Users are now able to edit their own posts. This was previous not available but should be working on all registered user accounts now.

2)You are now able to create, edit, and change your signature in your account.

3)You now have to be a registered member to view the content in the site. When you come to the homepage, you will no longer be able to view the node tree without being a registered member.

4)Inbox Humour section has been added. This is where you can post funny messages from your inbox and spambox for others to get a kick from.

    More to come...

it's better that way. we have the penthouse forum for stuff that shouldn't be public. having content open to public view helps with google indexing and getting more ppl to sign up

Many posts were done under the assumption we would not be indexed by search engines, and to do so now, for the benefit of forum self-promotion, at the expense of the privacy of its members, forces me to think twice before contributing anything in the future.

In other words, I don't like this new policy.

Yes, that's good. Just your post seemed to imply that now all contents requires registration...

I am not sure I understand what is so bad about having the posts indexed in google.
Whats to stop anyone from just creating an account and viewing all the content?

My opinion is that the information contained within this forum should only be accessible from inside...

It's still open to the public, and nothing is to stop anyone from accessing it. But if they want access to it, they should join, (with an IP and email recorded at registration) and maybe even contribute, like the rest of us did.. Instead, people can search topics via google and read up on topics without ever registering? "Its better that way?" Guidi? How so?

The problem with hiding the content is that it gives the forum less exposure. We need people to sign up and give us fresh ideas and they can't if google is not indexing and ranking the site.
Contributions not meant for public view can go to the penthouse forum. Like producerK said, anyone can create an account and view the content anyways. Considering the pros and cons we decided to make it public.

my trolling was on topic (prior to being deleted) , and was merely presenting an example that might help Super Weenie understand that his platform promotion posts, would gain an exponentially larger audience this way.

This script is definitely a powerful one. A lot of options, especially for expansion. What can you expect coming from the coders of Vbulletin.

Lot of features I love here.
