The site is Velocity-software.net they offer a VPN based, basic, low volume mailer, and data. About to sign up but wanted to get opinions... does anyone have any experience with them, or do VPN's even work? I was thinking this would be a simple way to start testing offers/data.
I am the main developer behind Velocity Software www.velocitymarketingsoftware.com and can build nearly anything. If you have any questions let me know. We can work with dedicated servers, vps, or smtp accounts. Packages from 100,000 emails a month to unlimited (Generally 100 to 200 million a month per server depending on the hardware). We have some exciting features coming including AdStation integration within the next week which will be the lowest cost option out there.
I was going to go with a VPN for cost reasons. I know a couple of places with top notch hosting that run into the hundreds of dollars but I wanted to get through a few proof of concept ideas before going to them. Plus I have some small, 100k, B2B newsletter things to run. Velocity has been really great with the initial contacts I have had.
I did not find what exactly you offer. What is provided from your side (software, lists, servers, IP's, domains?), and what is required from my side.
We can provide all the above. The main thing that we specialize in is the sending platform. Software - Easy to use, clean interface and powerful at the same time. Reseller friendly that can be whitelabled in fact most of our resellers double or triple our pricing. We handle all the server setups, domain registration, zone files. System can support multiple severs, multiple ips, multiple domains. Our software is always expanding and adding new modules coming soon (social media, sms). Open to custom development/feature requests. Also can send off whitelisted ips if you have your own first generation optin list to your own website. Great solution for data providers you can have email lists that are leased/protected to your clients and options to send a list to all subaccounts or split a list evenly amongst accounts. Lists - Our business lists are some of the best out there and they perform exceptionally well. Includes company, firstname, lastname, jobtitle. phone, revenue size, employee size, sic codes, location. We can also do consumer side as well but targeting is mainly just location/gender and general interests. Servers - We can provider ip's/sending servers or provide mailer friendly severs/vps. Generally we prefer people get their own server since the price will be lowered and you can receive more ips and a fresh sending reputation.
Can people mail purchased data? It looks like your service only allows folks to mail your data or lists built using your system. If we bring our own servers why shuoldnt we be able to mail our own data? If it was on your internal IPs I would understand the restriction to a certain extent.
Yes you can mail purchased data. You can mail from your own data there is not limits. We support purchased lists, your own lists, our lists, optin lists.
Velocity, Pls contact me as I'm researching options as well. I'm just starting out and I'm testing out some campaigns with low volume... 1M/M Thanks
I am also very interested in what you guys have to offer. What makes you different than other platforms? I see there is a $100 setup fee for 5 IP's or less? I assume that people are on a shared server with shared IP's or is it fully dedicated? How many IP's can someone purchase? Do you have complaint limits or percentages that will get a mailer kicked off? Being able to send purchased lists on an ESP is pretty basic, so how do you compare to other platforms in other areas? The "white listed" IP's is also interesting. I understand that I work for an ESP so you may not want to share you competitive edge however I am pretty sure a lot of mailers and other people in the industry would be interested to see what you have to offer.
What sets us apart form other platforms is everything we have is custom built including the mailing engine. Which allows us to build/customize anything when needed without having to worry about the limitation of a product/program. We are open to custom development/feature requests and have a fast development cycle. System was built to be reseller friendly andis meant to be whitlabled/resold. Clients have dedicated ips and dedicated domain names. I do allow resellers the option to stack multiple clients on single ip but strongly discourage that when possible. Shared servers/ips have thought about it if we go into the smaller email volume packages such as 25,000 or under per month. But right now do not see enough money to be made there unless you have the volume and not worth the support time. It is possibility in the future. If I had to think of the service that would be similar to us would be Deliverability Agent but we handle all the servers in that case. Unless you want to use your own third party sending server. Clients have the option to use our ips, our servers, their own servers, or vps. Do not have complaint limits for bulk unless it is a major complaint listing in that case the client will need to move to their own server. For whitelisting system there is a compliant threshold and all lists/messages are verified manually and has to be first generation. We have an excellent suppression that helps combat complaints. I personally spend time researching antispam companies figuring out domains/ip space they own control and able to identify most of complaints that do come in. I have a lot of knowledge of domain/ip ownership and get all the datafeeds for all the top domain tlds for processing to give another extreme level of checking. I actually have another tab in our system to monitor domain portfolio and watch domains and domain listings/auctions. Data options you can use your own data, purchased data. Or you can rent data or buy data from us. Our business data performs extremely well and is very high quality with multiple targeting options including geographic, industry, revenue size, employee size, sic codes etc. Have some team members here that have done some business with Listmarketer in the past buying servers with old owner or something not sure exactly. Listmarketer has a nice system and there are features that I want to incorporate soon. Have huge feature list of things that we still want to build and will knock a lot of them out before the year end. My goal is to be the ultimate marketing platform with email as the primary focus but also expanding out into other areas that are relevant.
Has Anyone used Velocity and NOT ended up in the Spam Folder Only? I follow all of my reps instructions and no matter what I do, i'm in the spam folder. Anyone actually have a good experience with this company?
