So i signed up on Sendstream for free account to test it out. Set a campaign to list of 1500 people. Campaign was about several cpc offers. Shortly afterwards, got email saying my blast (yes Sendstream actually uses that term, Blast..) was not sent because of this: "Offers that require the message recipient to enter their email address or other personal" I have read their T&C, and there are many reasons why emails can be blocked but mine wasnt fall under any of those as the block reason was the above. Maybe i am missing something, Sendstream does support email marketing as per their site and as far as i know, the nature of email marketing is to market something and try to get subscribers to buy something and eventually provide some sort of their personal information financially related or not, or maybe not?? Is there any type of Email marketing that is not trying to sell something? I have sent email to them asking for clarification, but meanwhile, what do you think? Thanks.
I think it is misinterpreted with affiliate marketing, which is still fall under the general term of email marketing. I know a lot of ISP dont allow affiliate marketing because it is spammy, but if you own the product and try to send to your customer database then it is allowed.
