when it comes to all this stuff, there is a lot of trial and error....and frustration....but then there is this alternative...the thing that i did...there are people out there who know how to do all this stuff step by step but they are not business oriented so they don't really use their own skills. find one of those guys and hire them to set the whole thing up...

the only problem you have left is knowing exactly what it is you need done so that you can be specific when you pay him his hourly rate. and when you have problems you will need to hire him back until this stuff becomes easy enough for you to handle on your own.

i have only done this for 2 weeks and i already got paid 1200 bucks...another 3 jobs on the way for another 3600 bucks and i don't know sh**. hope this gives confidence to someone out there...its for sure a different way to go about things... good luck peeps

What exactly did you do here in the email space to make your $1200, just curious. Your other posts hinted that you weren't really mailing yet and just in an exploratory phase, so was this for consulting or something? In any case, good for you, now you have some startup money to begin!

I hired this guy who said he could get me in the inbox then I went outside to a business district and got in the face of business owners and started making arrangements for 12000 emails at ten cents an email. I still don't know sh** about emailing but this is america and a middle man is just as good!

This part is really a good idea. While not the easiest way to make a living emailing, it does demonstrate the desire to get into it and do so by almost any means necessary. Impressive. I'd recommend caution when approaching brick and mortar business owners in so much that if your first campaign doesn't generate anything for the business owner the likelihood of getting repeat business is slim to none. While your price per email is reasonable; I think a smarter (and more profitable) way to go about it would be to explain to the BO that your email will be geo targeted to his location based on a radius around him using zip codes. As long as your data holds up to this model, you could easily charge more per email. And as long as the BO saw even the smallest of new activity based on your regional/local campaign IMO it'd be safe to say that you could cultivate several repeat customers.

Personally I like this gorilla style you've adapted. Make it work on a small scale and you can easily grow something like this.

thank you for the kind words and encouragement...yes repeat business is why i am in this business in the first place...i am in the auto industry...buying and selling cars for many years and although that business is extremely lucrative, it is such a F****IN hustle that i get tired of it.

i have a question...if i do a good job for these businesses and their ROI is beating expectations, what do you think is a smart price per email? i have priced the packages as follows....3000 emails 25 cents, 6000 - 18 cents, 9000 - 14 cents, 12,000+ 10 cents.

We have gotten as high as $9.00 CPM for international sends and the same with US B2B sends. US B2C is usually much lower because the response rate is so much lower (like $2 to $3 CPM). If you have a very segmented list you can much more for each segment. Be aware the the CPM model is a dying model in the US but if you can sell it then go for it and get as much as you can for it.
