Hey all, I'm trying to understand how come Gmail is blocking my Emails. They say my send limit is too fast, yet, I sent around 100Emails/Hour (Per IP). The response I received was: message is 550-5.7.1 likely unsolicited mail. To reduce the amount of spam sent to Gmail, 550-5.7.1 this message has been blocked. Please visit 550-5.7.1 http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=188131 I make sure to follow all best practices, but maybe there is some thing else needed with Gmail?
Anything I can do to avoid being hit? Its a new Domain/IP.. I saw Hotmail sending me same.. "messages from X.X.X.X weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors. (in reply to MAIL FROM command)" Everything I did seems ok, only issue I can think of is bounces ? Or since its new IP ? Thoughts?
Hey SuperGenii, Thanks for helping out. About the sending speed, Im using "round-robin", which basically means it rotates between the IPs each time an Email is being sent. Plus, I make sure to stretch it across the entire hour.. So the answer is no, It doesnt send them all at the first minute. About 1024BIT, I think not actually. I was just reading about it, I will make sure to fix that. Do you think I should also make sure to use that special unsubscribe + bulk header that Gmail talks about here? https://support.google.com/mail/answer/81126?hl=en I wasn't sure about that either. What can I do now about the IPs that are marked by Gmail/Hotmail? Again, thanks for the support! Highly appreciated.
Even to bulk into gmail you should change the click through domains frequently. This might allow a higher delivery rate
Arbydar, The clickthrough domains are same as the sender domain. And so, 5 per IP.. SuperGenii, Should I take it as a "Yes, of course you need to do that" ? I wasnt sure if its really required... And thought it might be also negative to tell them in the first place "Im sending bulks". But at the end of the day, yes, its bulks.. and they know it of course. Bottom line, I'll make those changes as well. Though something tells me this is not my problem.. But lets see
I tried it and thats make no difference, I also tried to mail without DKIM but thats same. You should try sending in plain/text, its more related to url domain in content. As Arbydar told you, rotate your domains and let them rest when they are blocked.
I send "Almost" plain text. I just need to use HTML version, since there is a text link inside the message. How can I know if the issue is the domain or IP? Or to just let them both rest?
Ok, I paused the campaign and taking care of the notes mentioned above. Do you think by putting the IPs/Domain to rest, It'll be sorted and I can restart in a day ? or two? Or those IPs are marked for good?
That's right, this help a lot on some ISP, on hotmail it reduce the PR(dt1) errors On a 550 5.7.1 Gmail block you must wait 10-15 days before the IPs get back. You can try less but you will see the 550 5.7.1 which will be back in no time. Edit: This thread should be moved to PH, prestige if you are not a PH member just PM if you have further problem
Hey Cats, If at all possible keep the thread here since there are those of us who are really learning a lot by dropping in on it. Thanks, 215
