Gmails New Inbox

    I'd say it would lower it sum since all the emails would go into promotions tab which most users would probably just delete all of them without viewing each email.

    Interesting article! Not really good news though.
    One thing that wasn't mentioned, but seems quite relevant to bulk mailers, is the effect on the junk folder responses.
    Yes, people do actually respond to emails in their junk folder - but it seems like a whole different world than the inbox only crowd.

    Anybody have any thoughts on whether this affect Gmail's spamfolder at all? My guess would be... not much of any at all.
