    Hi,

I'm interested to find out about hosting/servers that allow high volume of emails... 1 million/day maybe? costs as well...

    Thanks

A lot of dedicated hosts will allow it, or you will be able to do it on there anyways..

Just make sure you read their terms of service before buying, some allow only double opt, some just say no spam, some say no bulk email whatsoever..

    Thank you jellyfish

I've tested a few and I only had a problem with a couple of them, so that's the way to go then, testing them...not a 'special' hot list somewhere.

I find that sales often doesnt think the same way as the rest of the company (abuse).. And if you make too big of a deal about it before you purchase the server they will certainly say no. That being said, asking usually helps find longer term places ;)

I had a lot of success with a server from ThePlanet (before they became SoftLayer)...I mailed out around 13-16MM a day on it, every day for a month and they not once contacted me for sending mail, using too much bandwidth, etc., only got a survey request from them. When it came time to renew I didn't bother because the IP's were pretty well cooked, but I could have. I made a lot of money on that server, only paid $107 for it too! So they're out there...I wouldn't suggest you tell them you're mailing or try to order more than 32 IPs to begin with, a lot of ISP's I've looked into require ARIN justification at 64 IPs or more range. You can always let it sit and add to it if you like...

Another thing to consider would be going through a reseller, an individual is better than a company (in my opinion) as with a reseller you might get lucky and they won't use your company/account profile information on the rWhoIs on the IP's they allocate you (as required by ARIN). I know a guy like this if you want to PM me.

True dat. There are many hosting companies now-a-days that will want your credit card name, to match corporate or ask for docs etc.. Which means ultimately, your own name will be on the SWIP. Some people care about this, others don't and are more then happy to earn their ROKSO listing with glee.

They didnt contact u coz they were too busy marrying softlayer.
It was a good spot for clickers....The TP abuse desk were more friendly than SL.

As for the guy asking high volume, 1M is not high volume. But if you intent to burst
10-20 per day, the servers u use will depend on the data you have.

But for 1M , any server will do. There are guys here who cater servers or u can burn and mail.
Either way works.....again, all relative to data quality and type of data (big4, broadband, GI).
