I am writing a script right now that will check IP space for hygine and blockages and etc.... Give me your wish list please of features that this program should do. I want to create the best of the best, most comprehensive ip-analyzer script out there. This will enable any security guy to do due diligence of any ip space in his/her network. Its goal is to help you pinpoint problems in connectivity and likewise.
These scripts already exist. Although I do not believe they are free for general public. One for checking IP space for the main TLD's, and another for monitoring BL's and kicking out daily health reports on the space.
Well the ones im writing will be available to the general public which is why im asking for feedback. This is not specific to mail. Its more network purification utilities.
Does anyone have a comprehensive table of all the error codes returned by all the different TLD's SMTP servers? Looking for a universal reference that might outline all the differences in all the TLD's.
If you do a forum search all the scripts have been built previously and the SMTP codes for the carriers are either standard RFC or can be easily gleaned from your own SMTP logs. And yes theyre already free to use lol. Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
A number of ISP's already have, and use them, including us. Yes, they are good for helping ISP's in general. However I doubt few are going to give away for free, when they are being licensed. It might be nice PR for you tho.
