I've seen some threads discussing this topic, but i still have some questions.

I don't want to rely on ESP and want to select some external hosting.

My question is if any dedicate server provider (or CDN) is ok, or I need to pay attention to ISP, in case somebody complains and get my image server shut down?

    Thanks in advance,

why not host it on the same place you're hosting your redirect links?

I don't have a click server. MY ESP doesn't support it.

So when you're sending mail, the links are not tracked/masked/altered from the original in the message body?

no, click server and mailing server are the same one.

All the links are masked under sending domains.

If you're using onpoint then you can have a backup server setup that will handle the images and redirect links in case your mailing server gets shut down.

I know. But as I'm considering to try other ESP, by hosting image on external server i can set up creatives very fast on new ESP/

All you need to do is buy a new domain (i.e. myhostedimages.com) and point it to a cheap host like 1&1 (HostGator will not allow this fyi) and all you need to do is create a simple directory via FTP so you can upload your images. Personally, I got all elaborate and created coded folders for each network I run with so my naming convention wouldn't 'out' my networks. Then all you need to do is put your new URL in a browser, access the folder, copy your links and put 'em in your creatives.

    Super easy.
