Hello, Been lurking for a few weeks now and figured I might as well make some kind of intro post to avoid the ban hammer. I'm currently studying computer science and have been slowly balancing school work and learning what I can about mailing. Haven't been an active member because I'm still learning the basics which can be fairly easy to find around this forum and haven't really reached a wall that couldn't be overcome without further research. Hopefully once I have a decent understanding I'll be able to actively participate in conversation and ask some unasked questions. Hopefully I can continue to be a member on this forum and eventually a useful active member.
TY Tommy - you can breath easy now. The point of this is to get you guys active early. See, just you saying you're in college studying computer science has me interested in your participation. I would love to hear about what you're current subjects are and how it might apply to our industry somehow. I never went to college, never studied shit like this so if I could learn from you along the way I think that'd be cool. Glad to see you here. Stay active and enjoy.
Ya completely understandable, always good to have an active community. In my program right now I'm learning a lot about software development which pretty much applies to all the software used for mailing. I'm learning tons of programming as well as the life cycle of software as it goes through production to a commercial product. I've also been brainstorming for programs that can automate some tasks for mailing as well as make things more efficient and organized. Gonna be done my mid terms next week, so I'll probably really start cracking into mailing then.
Welcome on board Tommy. I'm also at university and from my experience i'd like to say that studying is still our top priority. You need to balance your mailing and your degree.
