Sorry to hijack an ancient thread but I was lurking around with a few free minutes and saw this great post and wondered if someone could add to it... Anyone know the send limit/rate caps for Gmail? Last year I was sending 30-40k emails per day per 5 IPs on new and old IPs. Sometime in the first quarter of last year it changed and now all I ever see after a few thousand emails is "Our system has detected an unusual amount...".
Seeing how I've had 1 ip at 1k connections I'd say you can do more than 20 . It's more than likely reputation based.
