Anybody care to share or point me in the right direction of an ESP that excels with Hotmail. Every ESP I have tried seems to do well for a brief moment and then everything starts getting blocked and it never seems to come back again.

Sounds like your issues are more data related than anything. It sounds like your going to an ESP, they are inboxing your data, but b/c of your bounces, complainers etc, they are losing deliverability on the IP/s they were using to deliver your mail.

What are you doing for data hygiene?

Agreed, I also sometimes will pull all the openers from the last 90 days as well if your clicker file isn't large enough to offset costs of using the esp, this will definitely help with the activity in your total sent to opens/clicks algorithm/ratio.... my 2 cents.

Thanks for all the excellent tips guys. GGMailMan, you are pretty much spot on. Using esps, right out the gates it always starts off awesome yet after a couple days goes to shit as every time at first when inboxing complaints are high due to quite a large percentage finally receiving their first message from you. It tapers down after a couple days but by then opens/clicks fell off a cliff. Using IW and scrubbing out openers/clickers for hygiene.

Gspot, yes the esps used are set up with snds. SuperGenii, excellent tips thank you!

Zman - if you're going to burn through ESP IPs then make sure you collect all the scomps, and don't mail every day at first, the total # of complaints may get you booted. Accept this ESP account as a sacrificial lamb to pull out all bounces in your data and immediate scompers. You will most likely lose rep right after, but it can be restored again once you hone in on your actives. Send highly clicking offers like lead/zip submits, etc. to have the engagement work in your favor as its the only leg you'll have to stand on initially.

Raw data is like a giant block of ice, from within a beautiful sculpture is waiting if you can chisel it out over time...
