Yes, it's true. We have purchased a 30-day test with the infamous SuperGenii platform. This begins what will ultimately become the "MF Takes On <Mailing Platform> Thread", a monthly installment to Mailer Forum which will feature either myself, or a close friend/partner, testing a new platform for 30 days or more and posting a Daily Review for the readers' benefit. These type of things can sometimes be skewed. We're not idiots. We realize this is like the food critic scheduling his review in advance, so the restaurant can be in top form and be prepared, and give speedy service with a smile at all times for the sake of the review. We're going to intentionally downplay customer service in this regard and focus more on the "Meat and Potatoes" of the system itself. Does it make money? Hard how is it to use? What level mailer should use it? Our goal is to cover 1 new Platform per month, and if we continue with the platform we'll keep the thread alive. I hope these reviews put these platforms into a well-deserved spotlight. It's about time they were fully documented from a Reality Show/Thread standpoint... and into our archives for life. Good or bad, positive or negative, let the chips fall where they may. I want to thank SG for allowing us to start with his platform. I know absolutely nothing about SG's platform, except rumor(s): 1. It's ideal for the set-it-and-forget-it mailer (this is intriguing for several reasons, as it can be taught to a $10/hour person who also can clean your house while she's doing it - lol) 2. It's not designed for the 1K+ mailer, but for the $200-$500 day mailer (again, rumor). Given the givens, this is still "ok" in regard to the concept of this being a part time gig while you focus on other things. I will be curious if #1 and #2 are completely incorrect. We will definitely "scale" after 30 days if all is looking good, so we'll want to see how far we can put the pedal to the metal and if the bell curve for profit continues to climb, or peaks early. SuperGenii was incredibly fast and prompt with his customer service. Literally within 15 minutes we were provisioned with an account, sent confirmation details, online manuals, and everything we needed so the ball was officially in our court. I had trouble keeping up with him he was so fast, which is a great thing. We should have a server fully functioning by tomorrow, and I'll be watching my webmaster on a daily basis and learning the system, and putting comments down here for others. Please, if you have Qs on the platform, ask here. We'll be testing ADK Integrated alongside AD Revolution for our tests. We'll keep this thread updated as often as we can.. thanks again everyone for your readership.
SG: how does skill factor in when someone is using your system, what can make someone a "top mailer" when they're just using the same software & methods as everyone else? wouldn't it just be a matter of data quality in that case?
I actually have 5 servers with him running on auto pilot. They do really well to Yahoo using ADK. If I actually spent time messing with it to get the right settings and making sure everything is going smoothly and updating the data on the servers, I might be doing better than I am now. I literally left it at the same settings and lists we started with a few months back, and it makes a small profit each month.
River: could you elaborate on what you consider a 'small profit' and how you would go about creating a 'large profit'?
Also do you feel only a network like ADK will work with the 'set it and forget it' approach? How would your numbers be if you mixed real CPA offers into there? re ADK, are your CPCs stable, or low?
Just wanted to say we're setup and ready to go with Super Genii. The only reason we weren't literally mailing day 1 was nobody's fault but our own. At every step of the way, SG was always waiting on us to do the next step. If he had his way, we'd be mailing the moment the cash register drawer closed, which is an amazing thing. Today was a quick demonstration of the software. Extremely user friendly. I didn't even need to really take notes, everything was logically organized and arranged so it was easy to remember. We took 500,000 of our subscribers based on the domains SG said would work the best, and will be mailing tomorrow. So far I am impressed with this little system. No, it's not Volo, nor is it intended to be. Nor does it matter. Because there have always been two breeds of mailers: those technically gifted, who insist on knowing the technical end to the business, who can make serious money, and those who simply like pushing the SEND button, who can also make serious money. The automation part of the system is, without a doubt, Super Genii's magic bullet. This platform is for the mailer with a strong optin list who wants to monetize the list as quickly and painlessly as possible, just enough so as not to interfere with his golf game in the afternoon, and still make some money. ADK Integrated is SG's API of choice, though the software also supports Ad Revolution and Web Juice. In terms of "Who should try this program?" - there's a simple answer: anybody who wants a quick and easy new revenue stream that's designed to scale off an affordable monthly licensing fee per server. If your optin list is fairly large, you can 'set it and forget it' to your client base and send them a daily email, all while you're away from your PC. Once we're officially started tomorrow, we'll continue this thread and post additional information. TO BE CONTINUED
I'm going to let SG chime in here, I am not sure if this information is considered "private" or not, and may be something he'd only wish to share with registered users. Sorry, I promised him I would not reveal any sensitive information, so not sure how to respond to this.
So a list of 500k, what type of source are we talking here? You mention a strong optin list, does this mean the 500k you selected were fairly special or its 500k of a selection that you have millions more of that 'grade'? Two reasons why I think this is important. 1: demonstration of scalability, if you are using scarce resources it would be hard to imagine how the results would fare if you had say, 10 licenses. 2: Great data from an actual exclusive source can be mailed from a really unsophisticated system and still be very profitable.
for a clown advertising "the best thing in email marketing" you sure don't want much said about your platform other than "it mails ADKi" - schmuck. If a user can't say what domains it works or doesn't work on - what's the point of a test? SG=fail
So how does one actually purchase a supergenii ? I attempted to a week ago. I have sent AIM. I have sent email. I have phoned and spoken to J. After phoning I was approved and told to send details of my company by email. I sent the email, twice! Still nada! -FD
you gotta catch him on the right day in the right mood. He's a quirky one to do business with sometimes. Sorry SG but it's gotta be said lol
It looks that way doesn't it? But it was not the impression I got on the phone call. In fact more like the opposite! I have 5yrs of exp. in IM space and a background in automation so it seemed like a good fit! BTW, I didn't speak to SG, and its only been 2 days since the phone call. There may be a good reason for the delay but some response would have been nice.
