Morning! My name is Chris and my new boss pointed me here to brush up on my emailing knowledge. I come from a restauranteur background and have played various management/operations roles in the internet-based companies for two years now (diet/bizop/finance). (it was a neat story; a gentleman came into my restaurant two years ago with some people from Underground and we got to talking, 3 days later I resigned). So, that being said, I'm not extremely versed in emailing. I've dabbled with paid traffic and optimization for a while, but never worked with the emailing side. Full disclosure, I'm not super versed in traffic period- it was more so managing people and processes- but I've got the basics down. In my current role, I won't have a lot to do with the emailing portion directly, but I have a question for you nice folks: I've been asked to find some pubs to push email traffic to our offer (bizop, converts, good EPC) and I have no idea where to look for them. I feel like the stigma (spam) may lead to this info not being readily accessible, but I've not been able to turn up anything aside from combing previous contacts. Is there a place where this kind of info is aggregated? If not, why not? Are there email-only networks? As I mentioned, we have our bizop and would love to get some traffic to it, in addition to a massive amount of data that needs monetizing. Bizop only accepts email traffic and the lead data comes from 10 feeds daily from mostly bizop/insurance/edu/finance verticals.
