Saturday afternoon, I watched Tim Lincecum pitch one of the worst opens of his career. As I, and other fans, agonized over the nosedive his stats took, I tried to remind myself that it was only one game and things would look better the next time. It’s bound to happen to all of us, no matter what industry we’re in or goal we’re chasing. We’re going to hit a slump, it’s going to be difficult to shake, and we’re going to be frustrated that it happened at all. But the good news is that we’re probably going to come out on the other side of it. The same goes with your email marketing program. Everything’s going great and then you notice opens and clicks are dropping off with each email campaign you send.
