We got a solid mailing operation going and have 6 mailers working 7 days a week hitting cable domains and just had this happen... We use Robomail (Keith is awesome) and we were getting 550's (user unknowns)... this was causing fresh IP space to go down after 2 days of sending which is brutal! We looked into the logs and realized Robo wasn't scrubbing them out automatically like they should be... There was a few thousand unknowns per send going out just killing our reputation... So if you're using Robomail and are having this problem or are loosing ranges in 2-3 days, make sure to check your logs and give Keith the heads up to help you out... Btw... Keith = :thrasher:
We didn't notice earlier cause in the summary view, it showed up as a deferral as opposed to a hard fail. And we're used to seeing to some deferrals so we were never tipped off until we investigated deeper... Deeper means when ranges dropped Not sure how long it was going on for but all fixed now... Got some good info from pushsend too and now looking at using technology to automate processes better and improve uptime... thanks bro on that...
Without Kieth I feel sorry for anyone still using Robo. Keith was Robo. No one else there can hold a candle to him when it comes to technical knowledge.

Keith's sister still runs the company and while I agree he was/is a huge huge asset to any company that he is apart of, I'm sure that he isn't going to leave his sister out to dry.
Kieth is no longer part of the company. It's that simple. Put it this way. Everyone should let her know what an asset he was to the company. Without Kieth there is no robo.
Well then you know all about the issues Volo has had as well. Did Volo even exist in 2000? Dzenis was earning his Rokso membership at that time. Given he only sold the company to Vijay a few years ago. Since Chris is onboard I personally am hopeful for great things. Prior to Chris (prior to Ory) There were huge issues getting action items resolved by Dzenis team. I owned several licenses but after repeatedly asking for followup or even basic confirmation on action items we abandoned the platform completely.
Direct from the horse's mouth Alright guys here is the scoop... I went and visited Keith's sister, Catherine, at the robomail booth today in ASE. We shot the bull for a minute and the subject of Keith leaving (I spoke with Keith last night at the mailer summit party) came up. She said that he didn't leave but rather she let him go. She said they are still on good terms, and that there is no bad blood, but that they simply had some differences of opinion in the way that they are running things. She was even handing out his business card for his new company, Centrilius LLC - Rock Solid Colo, and saying that he has some good things going. She was very clear and adamant about the fact that they trained keith on most things and that their company will not be effected in him leaving. She said that things are moving forward without any problems and that the programers that are still there are more then qualified to keep things going. DISCLAIMER - I am a huge Keith fan. I also really like Catherine. I have only used RoboMail a few times and am not currently using it to mail, so I can't speak for the platform. I do have a really close mailer friend that uses it every day and said that he has been having lots of success with it. I just thought I would try to clear up the air about the whole Keith/Catherine situation.
You want me to prove they aren't competent? I can. I know more about the situation than pretty much anyone on the board other than Keith and Kat. I talk to him almost daily and he's been a friend for a long time. Like I said with out Kieth there is no Robo. If you want to continue to delude your self into believing that cool. I don't really care, but at the end of the day she's blowing smoke up your ass. TL;DR There's a lot more to this story that I can't say publicly. She probably lied to you.
Read my post again.... I'm simply passing information along so people can hear what is being said. I'm not "deluding" myself into anything. I say to go ahead and clear the air. She didn't care if people knew what happened. Let us know why Robomail is screwed. So far all you have said is that they can't function without him, but I would like to know why. I'm not questioning whether or not you know the answers, but rather just looking for information and the truth. I might be doing some work with both of them in the future and would like to know more about the situation before I invest the time and money.
I just hope everyone who commented or otherwise is involved in the situation puts any grudges aside and focuses on figuring out the way forward. Most of us are here to do business, not stir up drama. Whatever happened behind the scenes, seems like all the original Robo principals want to do just that.
John, you have things a bit mixed up. Check out the other posts. We trained Keith, not the other way around. I know what an asset he was to the company. Why do you think Keith doesn't work here anymore? It was probably a big deal. I hear he's doing very well at aknowledge.
