I keep reading about references to seed lists for the majors. what exactly is a seed list and is it something that should be used when warming up IPs?

Could anyone please point me to sources where I could buy a seed list?

    Thank you in advance.

SG is right. And IMO you should set up seed accounts for every TLD you're trying to hit, in fact, set up several. Theyt're free but yuo can only set up a few a day before you'll get blocked.

Here's a link to set up MSN accounts:

thanks guys...is there any reason I'd need several for each TLD? i.e If I inbox one 1 email id, won't I inbox on the others?

And let's say I inbox 1 email id, but end up on the junk folder on another (for the same TLD), is there any inference to be made?

Thank a ton..this is really very useful..

People also incorrectly use the term "seed" to mean "give
me 100,000 email accounts that are fake so I can pad my
data with them and dilute complaints"

This is incorrectly used. The term "pad accounts" or "fake"
is actually a better term to use than "send me 100,000
    seeds please"
