Diary of a Godllike mrgodlike in the house. Coming from the other end of IM, mass mailing is insanely complex. I knew it was a different game but this is like a whole new jungle. In any case, I've gotten bored of a lot of the paid traffic and wanted to get into mass mailing in a non BH & spammy way like I did in my early days. Saw an email from Jon Shugart about a week or two ago about a webinar for their service (mailer Millionaire). Pitch to go to the webinar: http://easywebevents.com/mm/ Anyways, it's a $997 onetime setup fee and $297/mo fee. Built off of Deliverability Agent and uses Hygiene Agent as their choice cleaning service. And I made an impulse buy basically..... Unfortunately i forgot the amount of IM noobs there are and about 95% of them in the program are noobs....like need a tut on buying domains, hosting.....etc. And they don't want to try and move too quickly as they're hoping to get everyone on the same page. Understandable, just a tad annoying. I'll update you guys on how things go, but from the way they're mailing they must have sourced the holy jebus of data cuz they pretty much showed a 77k drop netting ~$900 in profit after ESP costs. Don't remember how much they said the list costed but he basically mailed a list he's been hitting every day and gets some amazing rev. and attributes it all to the data sources being high quality. So basically lookin to mail like a boss, but get my learn on here and then do my own progressing....and find sick data.
We're supposed to start off using elastic email then move to like smtp2go, sendgrid, and smtp.com or something.....but again he's wanting everyone on the same page so we don't know the secret sauce esp(s) yet. I know they only use text when mailing but they really say that it's all about the data. They also only hit one person only once per day per domain. I'll see what else is going on but that's all I know so far.
So been slacking a bit as I've been babysitting some buys that are ending in a few days (several site buys and one larger network buy), and had to deal w/ stupid headaches. Anyways w/ all that hassle I had put mailing on hold for during the weekend .... want to be able to dedicate majority of time to mailing, and not the aforementioned contractual issues, as I'm new to this. Also don't want to turn into one of those the spoonfeeders that seem to be joining the forums lately.
Thought I'd chime in as I'm getting a second setup going as well and want to be more active in this thread; BTW Mods, feel free to change Thread title if possible to Diary of a Noob or Diary of a Godlike... your choice Been working on slowly warming ip/rep/domains and it's going alright. Have had some technical hiccups hold me back a bit but not much of an issue. Anyways, had a huge chunk of data I found on a laptop I gave to my parents that I bought when I wanted to get serious about mailing earlier this year. Instead of letting it collect more dust I wanted to revshare it somehow and make use of it so I hit up Adam over at bridge. Learned that they only take daily/fresh feeds (very understandable) but definitely open to a revshare if I could find source good data. Then spoke to Craig over at adknowledge and asked him about the Adstation List management. Basically told me that they like newer data as well, which is obvious and again very understandable, but then asked about adki and had a long chat about it. Chat basically ended up w/ Craig introducing me to Ben over at Ironclad. Will be getting setup over there soon enough. Haven't been able to focus as much on mailing as I'd like as my big camps on FB and Pulse are requiring more attention than I'd like. But I am mailing when I get the chance. Will be updating this more as I should be able to spend more time w/ mailing than FB and pulse.
