In the years I've been in this industry I've always strived to be the best at whatever it was I was doing. When I was a rep for a lead gen company I wanted to be the best rep there! I worked harder than the others, I put in the time to learn my customers names, their needs and I prided myself on knowing them by voice when they called. As a result of this I crushed sales numbers every month. I did my best to know the industry and the people in it with me. As I moved from one segment of the affiliate world to another I always did the same thing. Learn, learn, learn and adapt on the fly. Never be afraid to say you don't know and to learn from those that paved the road before you. Be creative, take chances. If you don't try you'll never know will you? In my opinion, these are exactly the traits one needs to be successful in email marketing. What works today might not work tomorrow. What works for him might not work for me. But the longer you stay in the game, the more you absorb the knowledge from your piers, the better you'll do in this and in other parts of your life.
