I have two godaddy accounts. One I've had for four years I bought 1,000 domains in,
Three months ago I made a new godaddy account and transferred 500 to the 2nd Godaddy account. Mailed off of some of the domains in the second account using the Free DNS at name cheap and interspire.

Got complaints on four domains. I got ONE complaint per domain. As soon as I got the complaint, I responded to godaddy abuse dept that "I had a client that caused the complaint to occur and I have stopped doing business with the client and cancelled the domain."

    I then cancelled the domain.

GoDaddy sent back a message saying, "The complaint volume, at this time, is not enough to cause a major concern and this, coupled with your explanation of the situation is reason enough for Go Daddy to consider this matter closed."

Then TODAY, I got a complaint, gave the same response and now they want me to MOVE 500 DOMAINS to a new registrar within 48 Hours.

They Sent me: "Because of the repeated violations within the span of three months that this customer account has been active, we require all domain names and other services that you have with us to be transferred away to another provider not associated with GoDaddy.com. You will need to reply with a statement that you will initiate a transfer of all domain names and services to a new provider within the next 48 hours. Failure to reply with the required statement and transfer the domain names will result in the customer account(s) being locked and all items within them being suspended."

I Googled a few Godaddy SECURITY Supervisors and called and left a message and emailed:

OK - rather than squable about the going rate for 500 domains my advice remains the same - move your shit.

I'm not going to ask about things why do you have so many domains at GD if you're a mailer? There's not many advocates of GD here unless you follow the 'churn-n-burn' method of emailing, then who cares about 500 domains.

But let's say you have your reasons for having so many domains at GD but now you're gonna lose them unless you cry to someone else at GD or you take the steps to move them. Have you thought about the advantages?

Say you move them in groups - that you CAN afford - and meanwhile you call GD and talk to whoever you can in an attempt to draw out the process of them buttfuckin you.

When you move 'em - you should get free WhoIs - so there's that.

If you really want these domains so badly - you just gave them a new year of life - again - worth it right?

And whatever the outcome after all is said and done - at least (if you're successful at transferring any) you got some domains out of GD - who - as you can see - doesn't care how long you've been there or how many domains you have - it'll always be up to them when they take them. Not yours.

    It sucks - no doubt.

But you have options - and there are better registrars for email.

That is good advice. Thanks. What three registrars do you recommend buying domains from for mailing? I originally bought these to build them out :-( and discovered that I was an emailer in the process and started using them for mailing.

Be happy GoDaddy is giving you a chance to bail out. I've had clients lose thousands of domains in the blink of an eye for lesser offenses, and they weren't even given a chance to move them.

We always recommended NameCheap - DynamicDolphin as well along with a few others like Moniker. Not only because we like them better - and they're NOT GoDaddy - but that we're integrated w/them so domain set up is easy with PSM.

Not to mention we've never lost a domain with these other registrars.
